Girls Got Kicks & B-Girl Be Twin Cities Event

Fifth Element, theTwin Cities' finest hip hop shop, hosted Girls Got Kicks and a B-Girl Be Festival last night. With top local performers Desdamona, Maria Isa and Tish Jones and the first ever all-female sneaker battle, it was a great night!

Tish Jones was a sneaker judge and performer...

Desdamona was our fabulous event emcee, but we got her to do a couple power pieces as well...

In between performers, we hosted the sneaker battle, and the tension built...here's part of the line up:

Minneapolis brought all kinds of flavor! DC Shoes, adidas, Reebok, Converse, Nikes, Asics: this was not your average sneaker battle! Check out 3rd place winner and bgirl Kim Sorenson taking the whole outfit to the next level...

Emcee Maria Isa came in first runner-up with these beauts...

And Lil C said she hadn't brought her best kicks, but here she is reppin' the 3 stripes very nicely for 1st place!

Bgirls Seoul (left) and Maddie Fresh showed up too late for the battle, but definitely brought some heat!
