CULTURE is a diverse, expanding music/art/performance series produced by Free Range Music Cooperative and Rogue Citizen art collective.

What happens when art and music combine? Bollywood
is Twin Cities' finest in the psychedelic arts, fusing surreal visuals and immersive sound together live. Don't sleep.

Twin Cities legend Emcee And freestyle master Kristoff Krane will be setting it off live at CULTURE.
Kristoff Krane is a multi-genre recording/performing artis from Minneapolis, MN. Krane is known for his erratic, stream-of-consciousness approach to writing, freestyling and performing. Aside from his solo releases This Will Work For Now (2008), Hunting For Father (2010), Picking Flowers Next To Roadkill (2010) and Fanfaronade(2012), Kristoff is also a member of the following groups: Abzorbr, Saturday Morning Soundtrack, Prey For Paralysis and Rhymesayers' Face Candy (the all-improv rap-jazz band with friend and mentor, Micheal “Eyedea” Larsen). Krane has collaborated with Eyedea, Sage Francis, Slug of Atmosphere, Buck 65, P.O.S. of Doomtree, Illogic, Ceschi and more. He has toured the United States on several occasions, as well as throughout Europe. Recently, Krane joined forces with close friends from No Bird Sing and Kill The Vultures, forming the hip-hop collective F to I to X. “I Freestyle Life.”

Robar and Dominique are Forsthays (pronounced forest·haze). The intercontinental duo, based between Berlin and Minneapolis respectively, create R&B and future garage sounds.

Holding it down tonight is DJ Bach. The well dressed DJ Bach Pham is
magic at the turntable and master at making you mov e.

Live mural art is executed by Rogue Citizen artist collective, recognized regionally and nationally for mural work, concept exhibitions, special events and work with youth.

Free Arts Minnesota inspires hope and builds self-esteem for youth who have experienced poverty, homelessness, abuse and mental illness, using the healing powers of artistic expression and caring adult mentors. Free Arts facilitates a community mural project this evening.

Special Guest:
Kyle Tran Myhre better known by his stage name Guante, is an underground Hip Hop artist, National Slam Poet Champion (2008-2009), activist, and educator from Minneapolis. Myhre's work has been published in Upworthy, MSNBC, Racialicious, Feministing, The Progressive, City Pages, Artists of the Year list, and URB Magazine's "Next 1000" list.
