[English] This workshop, especially designed for working and retired adults, will introduce participants to online social networking—specifically to the use of the site Facebook.com. While the site was originally designed for college students, it is increasingly popular among members of all ages from teens to senior citizens, and it can be a valuable way to keep in touch with your family, friends, and community. The workshop will cover the basics of online social networking—Why? How? Who? —And briefly touch on the differences among the major sites. Participants will create Facebook accounts and learn how to navigate the site. By the end of this two-hour workshop, participants will be empowered to use Facebook.com—and, by extension, other social networking sites—safely and effectively for communication, entertainment, and education. * All students will have free ongoing access to Intermedia Arts’ digital media lab along with one-on-one assistance (by appointment) after the workshop.

You are invited to enter your animal-like appetites and childlike curiosities for physical exploration. This workshop takes movement outside of the typical dance studio or theater and into the real world, using place as a medium for making art. Engage your senses, perceptions and the cartography of your own body investigate the social and physical landscapes around us and our body’s relationship to land, weather and place. ![]() Photo by Sean Smuda
