Art hits the asphalt in the annual ArtCar Parade, in which more than 80 wildly decorated cars, bikes, scooters, wheelchairs and other wheeled vehicles roll through the streets of South Minneapolis! This highly successful annual parade is organized by a grassroots affiliation of artists who creatively alter cars and other wheeled vehicles for display and everyday use. ArtCars—often humorous, sometimes surprising and always inventive--interest and inspire imagination in people of all ages and backgrounds. The ArtCar Parade brings together people from the neighborhood, the Metro area and the state to create, participate in and enjoy one-of-a-kind mobile creations.
