B-Girl MonaLisa


Lisa Berman, also known as B-girl MonaLisa, is an active dancer, choreographer, and instructor. Lisa's teaching credits include hip-hop and breaking at New Spirit Middle School, Wilson Junior High, and Ramsey Junior High; the Urban Youth Arts Initiative; youth classes for Zenon Dance Company; and programs at both the Stepping Stone Theater and Walker Art Center. She has participated in battles throughout the Midwest including the most recent Twin Cities Battle, Falling With Style2. She has performed for musicians such as Tyrese and DoomTree. As a member of Hip Hop Dance Company, Collective, and Rhythm Queenz crew, MonaLisa has also performed on stages and venues across the Twin Cities, including Pantages Theater, Varsity Theater, the Southern Theater, the Mall of America, Minneapolis nightspot, First Avenue and the Ordway's Flint Hills International Children's Festival. Lisa is contributing her dance moves to the booming local hip-hop scene as she also gives back to the community through involvement with organizations like Intermedia Arts. MonaLisa is honored to be a part of the B-girl Be for it's third annual celebration.
