B-Girl Yoda Laneski "83"

Lane Davey is a visual artist representing the Aloha spirit of the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. What today’s Hip Hop represents to Laneski is the revolution and evolution of Hip Hop in the 21st century. Originating with its distinct Bronx flair, Hip Hop now oozes its way into new facets of international sub-cultures. It then gains momentum as it reforms itself to each individual while somehow converging back together to make everyone stronger and one in the same.

My expression whether it be in art, urban fashion or dance reflects 24 years of Hip Hop culture and I hope to constantly evolve what I do to show the roots of the culture and the progression of “what’s next”. I also bring Polynesian Culture to my work, being from Hawaii and seeing how Hip Hop is moving in the Pacific Islands.
