In
1998, Shortee, resident of Los Angeles, made her production debut on Faust's
"Man or Myth,” followed by "The Fathomless EP," w/
Faust & DJ Craze containing the 1st Drum & Bass tracks comprised
solely of scratching. In 1999, Shortee's full-length solo debut The Dreamer
became the 1st & only turntablist album produced by a female. She
has since released multiple joint albums with DJ Faust as well as singles,
remixes, countless mix CDs & appeared solo & jointly on numerous
compilations. DJ Shortee serves as head professor at The Scratch DJ Academy
founded by RUN DMC's Jam Master Jay.
