Karma the Oddest Goddess


Committed to community, this Chicago native uses her voice and writing skills in the performing arts community where she resides in Minneapolis. As a powerful poet, playwright, activist, lover of Hip Hop culture and single parent, she dedicates time working with peers and youth sharing ideas and forms of theater arts, hip hop, and spoken word. Her completed works includes two plays Waking Up Ghetto and Urban Goddess Monologues. In her works she vividly shares her views of being a black female urban artist, the struggle and survival of teen parenting and the importance of commitment to activism in under-privileged communities around the globe. After facing the hardships of domestic violence, teen parenting and battling cancer, she has stayed focused on advocating positive hope and inspiration to youth and peers in her surroundings. With hopes to encourage inspire and influence other young women, Karma and the Sistahood is proud to be a part of this years B-Girl Be events..
