One
of my goals in creating my work is to give voices to women of all ages,
which includes the voices of women in Hip Hop. I do this in pieces, like
The Spirit of a Phenomenal Woman (featured in the B-Girl Be gallery).
These works focus on young women shaping their future. To help shape a
new destiny for themselves within the context of their own communities
and society as a whole they learn the power of voicing their own stories.
