Meela |

| Born and raised on Chicago's Southwest Side,
Meela is a working graphic designer and freelance web designer/artist. BFA,
Columbia College Chicago, she also attended University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign.
Started doing pieces and tags in 96'. Participated as the first all female
crew FCT alongside Zena, in the Chicago Transit Authority Graffiti Competition,
98'. While in grafitti hiatus, meela focused on working as a Chicago Park
District Natatorium Instructor to pay her way through college. She also
worked as an After School Matters Lifeguard Instructor. She paints in productions
with SYNERGY, an all female hip-hop crew. She intends to be a role-model,
encourging young women to accomplish their goals in life and always be self-sufficent.
Enjoys traveling, attending concerts, outdoor festivals and trying to keep
up in Capoeira class. She is currently working towards owning her own graphic
design company and having a family with her fiancé.
