Monica
Rose Kelly was born in Philly, bounced in on a beat and never left the
edge of her seat. She started responding to this crazy world rhythmically,
mostly on paper with anything that made a mark. She remained a shy chile
until her inner music grew so loud and strong it couldn’t just escape
through her fingers anymore. One day little Monica approached a huge crowd
in a circle and someone lifted her up to see – people defying gravity!!
She knew at once her monkey-like tendencies had a purpose, and to b-girl
was her destiny. Breakin changed her life and breathed new energy into
this girl. She packed her paints, left her shell, and never crawled back
in. Monica loves to exchange creative ideas with others and believes that
this is where the evolution of art as we know it is born. She creates
work based on the beat in her heart and the different songs she can feel
vibrating from others.
