SISTA HOOD |
|
| Formed by Emcee Karma the Oddest Goddess (aka) Jain Doe, a group of talented young ladies from the inner cities of Minneapolis formed a sisterhood organization to build community, discuss social issues involving their community and utilize individual creative artistic talents as a way to positively express themselves as young ladies. Poet, emcee and becoming fashion designer, Ashawnti, has worked with organizations like, Learning Works, MNSWA, Soulistic Playhouse, and Minneapolis Public Schools, and B girl Be, gracing the stages with her poetry and raps. The Sistah Hood serves young ladies ages 10-18 and will continue to grow and represent the positive vibe of Sisters, growing up in the hood. |
