Latisha
"Tish" Jones is an emerging spoken word artist, activist, educator,
producer, and facilitator (among other things). She was a member of the
2006 Minnesota Quest for the Voice Youth Slam Team, and has performed
in venues from here to Harlem. Jones is also the founder and Artistic
Director of TruArtSpeaks, a developing nonprofit organization committed
to nurturing youth and community voices while using arts as a tool for
connection, and as a means to create social change. Jones has performed
with, and for, Minneapolis Mosaic, In the Belly, rtransitions, B-Girl
Be, Twin Cities Celebration of Hip Hop, MNSWA, The Loft, Intermedia Arts,
and various schools and community centers throughout the country.
