B-Girl Be 2007 Visual Art Exhibition:

THE ART OF T&A...TRUTH AND ACTIVISM

June 21-September 1, 2007
Opening Night Reception, June 28, 2007, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

"The title of this show was born out of the contradictions reflected in today's pre-packaged Hip Hop culture. The commonly understood definition of what is bought and sold in commercial rap. It is a reflection of the broader consumer society that makes an art of the hyper-sexualization of women. This year's B-Girl Be exhibition will expose and explore these relationships."
- DeAnna Cummings, B-Girl Be Exhibition Curator
