Most events are located at Intermedia Arts, have a ticket price and are all ages unless otherwise noted.

Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee a seat at these events. Please call 612-871-4444 or email info@intermediaarts.org to make your reservations right away.

General entry to Intermedia Arts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday is FREE and provides all day access to aerosol art production, visual art exhibit, open mics, films, panels and outdoor performances and merchandise. All other events, workshops and evening performances have separate ticket prices listed with the event.

6:00-9:30PM Visual Art Exhibit Opens ÒThe Art of T&AÉ Truth and Activism

A multi-disciplinary, cutting edge international group show that highlights womenÕs visual voice through the aesthetic lens of Hip-Hop culture.

Featuring installations by Joy E. A. Spika; collage by Krista Franklin; photography by Diana McClure and Sarah White & toys by Too Fly. Twenty-five artists representing the United States, Puerto Rico, Cape Town South Africa and Switzerland.

6:30 PM B-Girl Be Welcoming Ceremony featuring the Gallery Opening, Aztec Dance Youth, Drummers, BGB Drum&Dance & Tish Jones.

Rosa Clemente Keynote, $5/ $2 students.

"The Fifth Element of Being A Girl"

Women as co-creators in the culture of hip-hop are often marginalized, underlooked and put into boxes. Rosa Clemente's address will cover the fifth element of hip-hop culture: knowlege and politics, showing the resistance and struggle of women in the culture of hip hop and the larger global society.
