Graffiti Black Book Sessions: Freestyle Twin Cities Graffiti History
Mondays, May 9–30; 7:00–9:00 pm
Free admission; no registration required
Over the month of May, Monday night Black Book Sessions are a call to bring together various graffiti and black book artists to sketch and celebrate local Twin Cities graffiti art history. Influential writers from various historical moments in local history will join each session to share their stories and vintage black books. This is a rare event that encapsulates the visual expression and the oral history from the last twenty years of local Twin Cities’ graffiti history. The collection of current and historical black book pieces derived from these sessions will be on exhibit in this first of its’ kind show at Intermedia Arts from June 2–August 13. |
