English | Español Mary Anne Quiroz, originally from the Philippines, has organized events in the Latino community as a danzante Azteca for almost 10 years. She has coordinated and/or assisted with various events and ceremonies such as: District del Sol's Cinco de Mayo Parade; GoLatino!'s Dia de la Independencia Parade; East Side Cinco de Mayo Celebration; Danza Mexihca Cuauhtémoc's Chalchiutlicue Ceremony and Dia de los Muertos. Her position as the Youth Development Specialist at East YMCA gives Mary Anne the opportunity to work with several St. Paul Public Schools as a mentor and advisor for youth programs such as Multicultural Achievers and Youth in Government. She is currently working as a mentor for the Espejos Mentorship Program as well as forming the new Mexihca dance group Kalpulli Yaocenochtli with Sergio Quiroz. English | Español SPANISH: |
