MNTV

IFP Minnesota once again teams with Walker Art Center Film/Video Department, Twin Cities Public Television, and Intermedia Arts to recruit submissions of short form work by Minnesota filmmakers, including animation, music videos, experimental, documentary and narrative film.

Minnesota-produced short film and video works are being sought for inclusion in the fall 2005 MNTV broadcast.  Programming staff from Walker Art Center, IFP Minnesota and Intermedia Arts will select the films and videos for the 2005 program.  Entries will be selected for their production quality, craft, originality, concept, diversity, content of work and suitability for television.  A licensing fee for television broadcasts between $500-$1000 will be paid, based on the length of work.

MNTV is generously funded by the Jerome Foundation.

Deadline
The deadline for MNTV Submissions is Wednesday, June 1, by 4:00 pm in IFP Minnesota’s office, located at 2446 University Avenue West, Suite 100, St. Paul, MN  55114.

The goal of MNTV is to provide a television broadcast venue for film/video artists who create short formwork, and to nurture an audience for this work.  Through participation in MNTV, a film artist has the opportunity to develop professionally, be compensated as an artistic contributor, and the program acts as a catalyst for individuals to continue with their work. Often, for a film artist, MNTV license fees are the first monies received for artistic work. Audiences have a unique opportunity to experience independent films on broadcast television.  Audiences are encouraged to participate with their opinions through the TPT website.
