ASL interpreter Mari Griffin (Audio Describer) Selected more than a decade ago when the Guthrie brought Audio Description to the Twin Cities, Griffin’s works include describing performing groups and venues, working with teachers and children, museum exhibits, civic events (like Holidazzle), video production and developing sensory events. VSA arts of Minnesota honored Griffin with their Jaehny Award. Audio Describer Bernadette Halverson (ASL interpreter) Halverson has been a sign language interpreter since 1995. She received her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and went on the obtain an interpreting degree from St. Paul Technical College. She currently holds certification from both the National Association of the Deaf, NAD VI, and the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, CT. She has interpreted in a variety of professional settings, including performing arts, education, medical, religious, business, and the video relay service industry. |
